Securing initial funding is just the beginning of a founder’s journey. The real challenges emerge as startups grow—challenges that capital alone cannot solve. Founders need experienced guidance, a strong peer network, and opportunities to develop their leadership skills to navigate these pivotal stages. Unfortunately, too many startups are left to face these hurdles without adequate support. That's why Bloomhaus investors decided to support the founders2 learning cohort starting in January 2025.
The numbers tell a stark story: only 19% of European startups advance to Series A after their seed round. Yet for startups backed by the top quartile of investors, the success rate climbs to 40%. The difference is clear—access to mentorship, tailored guidance, and a robust support network significantly impacts a startup's ability to scale.
At Bloomhaus, we are deeply committed to bridging this gap. While the startup ecosystem focuses heavily on preparing founders for funding rounds—such as perfecting their pitch decks—there is far less attention on helping founders tackle the critical growth-stage challenges that follow. This is exactly where Bloomhaus steps in, providing not just capital but also the mentorship and resources founders need to thrive.
To strengthen our support even further, Bloomhaus is excited to enable founders to participate in the Founders2 initiative, a new and independent program that is specifically designed for growth-stage founders. The program addresses the exact pain points we see founders with an ARR of about CHF 1m face during their demanding phase of growth, equipping them with the tools, network and mentoring to overcome obstacles and lead their companies to new heights.
"At Bloomhaus, we don’t just invest in companies—we invest in people, " says Marc Tech, Cor-Founder, investor and Chairman of Bloomhaus Ventures. "By combining our in-house expertise with the opportunities such as provided by Founders2, we’re setting our portfolio founders up for success during the most critical stages of their growth journey."
To underscore our commitment, Bloomhaus is covering 50% of the cost for five of our portfolio founders to join the first Founders2 cohort.
As Marc explains: “This is an investment in the long-term success of our founders. By enabling our startup founders to participate in the Founders2 program, we’re giving them additional support, peer network and mentoring they need to grow, overcome challenges, scale and thrive.”
