Limatica’s innovative approach leverages noise analysis, a technique traditionally used in electrochemistry and corrosion studies, to address battery cell degradation. This novel application holds the potential to significantly enhance the time, cost, and quality of assessments, especially within the proprietary Li-ion technology space.
While the Go-To-Market strategy and business model are still being refined, the initial focus is on optimizing the cell aging process, aiming to save both time and infrastructure resources. Over time, the technology could expand to evaluate used cells for second-life applications and distinguish failure modes in R&D and quality assurance processes.
